Orders are being accepted for our small vertical turbine based on our horizontal SB18 (ball bearing) model. The vertical SBV18 uses the same bearing sizes as the SB18 with different angular contact for the orientation. We use grease lubrication with lip type seals on the shaft because we believe plant operators would rather change the seals every few years than tolerate constant oil leakage. There are various mounting options to meet your needs.
The power range of the SBV18 is from 5 to 300 horsepower, though most applications are likely to be in the 10 to 100 horse-power range.

These days there is a new buzz-word in our industry. It’s “Combined Heat and Power” or “CHP” for short. It can be defined as the simultaneous or sequential generation of useful heat and power from the same fuel source. Thirty years ago we called it “Co-generation.” Either way, it’s about getting the biggest bang for your buck!
Skinner Power Systems manufactures nine (9) models of single-stage steam turbines with power output of 5 to 3000 horsepower. Our turbines are generally in compliance with applicable API standards. All horizontally-split models are available with sleeve bearings. Certain models are also available with ball bearings.
