Dean Hill

Dean Hill and Its Relevance to Skinner

The entire Dean Hill Pump Company was sold to Skinner Engine Company in 1963 and a number of personnel were moved to the Skinner plant in 1964, located in Erie, Pennsylvania. Skinner Engine Company manufactured turbines using the Dean Hill name for a number of years and the model numbers were changed to the Skinner S-Series turbines by 1971. These current models are models S11, S18, S23, and S28. These are merely the diameters of the turbine wheels and were therefore easily identified with a turbine’s size. There is no difference between a Dean Hill model DH25 and a Skinner model S18.
